At the age of 25, Grant Cardone came out of a rehabilitation treatment center after battling a drug addiction. Five years later, he was a millionaire. Today, at age 58, Cardone is an internationally renowned sales trainer. His primary venture, Cardone Training Technologies, provides Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and entrepreneurs with an interactive sales training platform.
While he is mostly known for his success with helping companies increase sales, over the last two decades Cardone has almost single-handedly built a real estate empire. His investment vehicle Cardone Acquisitions has been involved in more than $425 million in real estate transactions, and the company currently claims to hold $566 million worth multifamily properties throughout the United States.
At age 22, Grant Cardone graduated from college with an accounting degree. Despite wanting to immediately acquire properties, he delayed doing so for a few years. This allowed him to grow the money that he would later use to make investments. Additionally, the delay gave Cardone the time to soak up as much as he could on the subject of real estate.
After 14 years of studying real estate via books, people & the internet he made his first purchase which initially did well however after a few months was no longer providing an income. He took the action to sell and re-focus on the benefits of property. 5 years later after accumulating cash he purchased a 38 unit-unit complex for $1.9 million with a down payment of $350,000. Just over a month later, he acquired another complex. Cardone continued to purchase more complexes – at first, one at a time, though the pace later picked up. In 2012, Cardone Acquisitions made what was dubbed Florida’s largest private party acquisition of multifamily real estate, a portfolio of 1,016 apartment, spread over five apartment communities, for a total of $59 million.
To date Grant Cardone is recognised as an International Sales Expert, New York Times best-selling author, and radio show host of The Cardone Zone.
