#MCM – Kendrick Lemar

Our MCM this week is none other than Mr Poetic Justice himself, Kendrick Lamar.
Whilst we eagerly await the new album (expected to be released this Thursday – April 13th) I’m sure U2 are eagerly anticipating this collaboration amongst many other unexpected features.
Kendrick is known for his socially aware, thought provoking, ‘real rap’ work and presence ; Quoting Lamar himself : “You really can’t categorise my music, it’s human music.” I’m sure you’ll all agree that with the current political climate/social injustice in the world right now, this album for the people couldn’t come at a better time.
Yet it is the soul of the seven time Grammy Award Winning artist, I’d like you to take away from this article as Monday motivation:
Kendrick once said: “Kids are living by my music, however my word will never be as strong as God’s word. All I am is a vessel, doing his work.”
So I urge you GD’ers, do not be disheartened, discouraged or demotivated, if you aim to fulfil a divine purpose; your actions will always be aligned with greatness.
