Our WCW spends her days “fixing lives”, teaching others how to find their purpose and truth and excel past excuses. An American inspirational speaker, lawyer, New Thought spiritual teacher, author, life coach and television personality, our WCW is none other than Ms Iyanla Vanzant.
As an affluent female influence in many households (as was the case in mine) along with Maya Angelou, Oprah and Lauryn Hill, Vanzant is renowned for her empowering and uplifting talks and her books have helped many unearth new chapters of peace and prosperity within their lives.
Here are 3 Top Tips to living a successful, peaceful and purposeful life as per Ms Vanzants teachings:
Nurture your vision and love what you do: To truly Grow Daily you must discard all that drags you down, your roots ground you; all else has the capability of deterring you from rising above your level of comfort. Nurture your budding ideas and thoughts and greatness will blossom thereafter.
Refuse to fail: You never fail if you acknowledge that you are always a student. The best leaders and teachers are those who take “failures” as a lesson. You are closer to a win if you look at them as training.
Be mindful of your words: As a teacher of the ‘New Thought’ spirituality, Vanzant believes in an Infinite Intelligence (that God is everywhere and that spirit is the totality of real things, true human selfhood is divine, divine thought is a force for good, sickness originates in the mind and “right thinking” has a healing effect. I personally agree with many of their core beliefs as it’s often documented by many successful people, be it focused in faith or positively persistent they all agree that our mental states are carried forward into manifestation and become our experiences in daily living. Therefore I implore you to grow daily by genuinely growing daily in all aspects of your life. Go the extra mile because you are worth that extra effort.
There is so much more to say but I shall save some of Ms Vanzants gems for our impending book club.
Until next time be good to yourselves, kind to others and above all GROW DAILY.
